I'm kind of wondering if this is possible.
I do not weigh 90 pounds and I'm not 6 ft tall
I almost never wear heels or intricate outfits
I don't like taking pictures of myself
and I am no Rumi Neely
I feel like that is a huge part of being successful as a blogger you need to be pretty.
But I love fashion so its worth a shot.

QUICK FASHION ON A BUDGET TIPS
Well, almost everything...
So here's a little boring background information. When I was younger I never had the stupid Suburbia essentials...UGG boots, North Face Denali, Coach purse, Etc....
So at the end of High School I decided that I was tired of my Old Navy clothes and started to look ahead....
These tips are probably common sense but its worth sharing
TIP # 1:
Work Retail (unfortunately, no matter how painful it may be retail does have its perks)
My (technical) first job was at a sporting goods store, I hesitantly applied for this job hating all things sports but I was out of High School and desperately needed a job. I was unaware of how great this discount would be but later learned that this retailer offered over 50% off of everything in the entire store before holiday. (Thanksgiving)
Lucky for me this included UGG boots and North Face Denalis
Retail job number 2
Not as successful... be sure to do your research most of Google will tell you what a company offers its employees as a discount some high end companies may even offer free clothing
Which brings me to Retail job number 3
Free clothes every month retailing up to 350 dollars and 75% off of clothes valued up and over 200 dollars
(or make friends with someone in retail)
TIP # 2:
Don't just shop at malls.... The internet most of the time has way better sales and discounts just lingering around waiting for you. Outlet-like websites like Gilt Groupe and The Outnet have great prices and other websites like Shopbop have excellent sales. The best part is more and more websites are offering free shipping! I got a Marc Jacobs purse that was valued at 400 dollars for 250 at Shopbop when strolling around Nordstroms that same purse was still on display for 400. I also got a pair of Hunter boots for 89 dollars when they retailed for 125 plus tax!
TIP # 3:
When you do shop at malls wait for seasonal sales... at least 90% of clothing and accessories go on sale... the other 10% was sold out before it could even make its way to getting marked down >.<. Trust me though working in retail I've heard the sob stories of customers who bought that 200 dollar jacket and 3 weeks later that same jacket is in the back of the store for 78 dollars...Just wait for it to be marked down (don't listen to that sales associate who just wants commission). Nordstroms has a great semi annual sale! I got a pair of True Religion Jeans for 50 bucks from a store called Metropark that unfortunately doesn't exist anymore but point being is wait for seasonal sales most places offer an additional percent off the sale price!
TIP #4:
Outlet malls (there are pros and cons I'll explain this another time)
TIP # 5:
Sign up for emails. Sign up to be on the stores mailing list... this usually is followed by immediate perks like "free shipping on your first order", "15% off your next purchase", etc... Also this will let you know when your favorite store is having a good sale worth checking out!
TIP # 6:
Use your resources... My mom works for the state and insurance covers my family for eyeglasses. Since I don't need eyeglasses I used that discount to get brand new Ray Ban sunglasses for 10 dollars at Sears optical.

Missoni For Target Not Worth It On Ebay
I've been out for a while but things have been a little hectic since school started.
I was drastically upset over the whole Missoni for Target thing. It was utterly impossible to even get even get a scarf from that collection, plus that morning my car just so happened to not start...
I checked e-bay and decided to wait till gilt groupe ends up getting some real missoni for a good price... Would you buy any of those items on ebay considering the mark up?
What I'm truly hyped for is the Versace for H&M collection... I'll probably be camping outside like a crazy person for that! (this Nov).... I had went to the Lanvin for H&M and it was nuts but well worth it so gear up and get ready November is almost here!

DREAMING ALEXANDER WANG AND THEN SOME
Alright so I have a bone to pick....I love love LOVE Alexander Wang, the man is a genius! seriously folks... unfortunately for me...even before I could muster up an extra 500 dollars to get my hands on a beloved Alexander Wang bag my English teacher strolled into the classroom with a Brenda camera bag. WTH is up with that?!!
In other news the world did not end today...and my BBQ was cancelled due to rain...maybe its time to invest in some nice new Hunter boots.

Holy Heck Comfortable Affordable Flats??!
This cannot be! Comfortable AND affordable flats are almost unheard of! My most recent failed attempt at finding nice flats were the infamous tory burch's reva flats but they were way to tight on my toes and 195 dollars can really set you back, especially on a college student's budget. I've always had trouble finding decent flats they will either dig into the back of my ankle or squish the front of my feet (mind you, my foot is by no means wide). Last week my boyfriend bought me some flats from Zara... I have never bought shoes from Zara before and I haven't really heard any raving reviews of shoes from there but these shoes have turned out to be my everyday flats. They are so basic and comfortable and at 49 dollars are a real deal to steal!! If anyone else out there can recommend comfy flats please share :) thanks! (picture from Zara)
